AutoSol
OPCMessenger communication software connects
data producers, data consumers and data
warehouse facilities regardless of their
locations, through industrial automation,
information technologies, and Internet interface
standards. Further, AutoSol OPCMessenger
can process the in-transit data through
Function Blocks that are developed in Microsoft
Visual Basic, and that are scheduled for
execution on a periodic or event basis.
All of the following data communication
modes can be supported in one installation
of AutoSol OPCMessenger.
- Between
local and/or remote industrial automation
systems.
- Between
local and/or remote databases
- From
automation systems to local and/or remote
databases
- From
databases to local and/or remote automation
systems

Function
Blocks and Function Blocks Toolkit
AutoSol
standard Function Blocks allows for processing
of data while in transit. An example of
a process which can be calculated in a function
block is calculating total station flow
rate from individual station meters.
AutoSol
Function Block Toolkit enhances the capabilities
of the Function Block Add-In by allowing
the user to write customized blocks using
Visual Basic templates. One example is
downloading natural gas components to field
flow computers.
- Data
values received through interfaces can
be processed.
- Results
of processing can be retransmitted through
interfaces
-
Supports rapid development and deployment
of user Function Blocks in Microsoft Visual
Basic
SQL
Support
-
SQL Connections allow the specification
of an OLE DB Provider which enables the
support for any relational database
- Each
SQL Connection configured can use a different
OLE DB Provider which supports connecting
to different databases in a single OPCMessenger
installation
- Recordsets
which are defined per Connection, can
be Publishers or Subscribers Recordsets
- SQL
Queries can be defined for a Publish or
Subscriber Recordset
- A
Publish Recordset can include OPC data
items or data items retrieved through
a subscription to a JMS message queue
A Publish Recordset can publish its data
on
- An
interval timer, or
- A
logic event based on a member of the
Topic
- Subscribing
Recordsets are updated on an interval
timer
- Fields
published in a Recordset can be defined
as
- Data
Link: The value of the data link source
will be stored in the field
- Constant
Value: The provided value will be stored
in the field
- Time
Stamp: The current time will be stored
in the field
AutoSol
MQ
OPCMessenger
and the AutoSol MQ provide a low end solution
for delivery of real-time data via the Publish-Subscribe
paradigm.
OPCMessenger
in combination with AutoSol MQ can leverage
low bandwidth communication media for data
delivery to Sub-scriber applications and
systems.
