The AutoSol Modbus Slave can provide an RTU/PLC like interface to any software that has an OPC compliant server interface. The RTU/PLC interface; in AutoSol Modbus Slave supports the Modbus protocol and will respond to Modbus requests sent by a Modbus Master. This can allow efficient communication between distributed HMIs and a SCADA Master over low bandwidth connections. The AutoSol Modbus Slave can also initiate a communication transaction to notify the Modbus master of an event or alarm through a 'Cryout' capability. When combined with AES, the AutoSol Modbus Slave becomes a protocol translator that can convert almost any SCADA protocol to Modbus for communication with legacy SCADA Master systems
