SCADA and EFM/AMR systems rely heavily on stable computer systems to operate effortlessly and efficiently. However, systems suffer instability from sources such as machine failure, power failures and other catastrophic events which bring data acquisition to a halt. Because of the importance of system stability and non-stop data acquisition, redundancy has become an important aspect of SCADA and EFM/AMR applications.
AutoSol is proud to introduce our redundancy system solution: AutoSol Redundancy Monitor (RedMon) and AutoSol File Synchronization (AFSynch). These products, when used together, work to enhance system stability by enabling full redundancy and file synchronization in SCADA and EFM/AMR servers.
RedMon
AutoSol Redundancy Monitor is system monitoring software required to run on two computers, a primary and a secondary. Through the use of a watchdog timer, RedMon primary and secondary monitor each other for failures. If the primary RedMon fails to respond, the secondary RedMon will launch predetermined applications and become the primary computer.
Additionally, if the primary RedMon application determines that a critical application crashes or stops responding it will inform the secondary RedMon application to take over as the primary.
AFSynch
AutoSol File Synchronization is a software program used to synchronize files from one computer to another. The program runs as a service to ensure data is transferred even when no user is logged into the system.
Key Features:
- Maintaining identical runtime files used by software
- Backing up critical files
- Runs on all Windows Operating Systems
- Can be initialized by AutoSol RedMon
